Regional Awards
In addition to the International awards, SPE also recognizes contributions and technical expertise at the regional level. Regional awards allow SPE to recognize a larger group of individuals whose contributions stand out among their peers. Regional award recipients are eligible for the comparable Society-wide award in the following year. Some contributions, such as corporate support, are only recognized at the regional level.

Regional Service Award

The SPE Regional Service Award acknowledges exceptional contributions to the Society at the section or regional level, and recognizes singular devotion of time and effort to the programs and development of the member's section and region that set it apart from the services rendered each year by many members of the Society.
Regional Outstanding Young Member Award

The Regional Outstanding Young Member Award recognizes contributions and leadership to the public and the community, with respect to local custom, as well as to the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the profession of petroleum engineering, or the petroleum industry within the region.
Technical Awards
The SPE Regional Technical Awards acknowledge exceptional contributions to the Society of Petroleum Engineers at the section or regional level and recognize singular devotion of time and effort to the programs and development of technical expertise in one of the following eight disciplines:
