William E. Albrecht, SPE, joined Noble Royalties as President of Acquisitions and Divestitures. Before this appointment, he served in executive positions with EOG Resources and Contour Energy. Albrecht earned a BS degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, and an MS degree from the U. of Southern California.
Robert Baker, SPE, was named General Manager for Applied Electronic Systems. Before this appointment, he was Product Support Manager for Scientific Drilling.

Boogaerdt, SPE, was appointed Senior Vice President of
Engineering–Production and Projects for OMV E&P GmbH. Before this
appointment, he served as head of development projects. Boogaerdt had more than
25 years of experience with Shell Intl. E&P.
Transocean reported two appointments. Jean Cahuzac, SPE, was named President, and Steven Newman was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Cahuzac earned a degree from École des Mines Saint Etienne and L’Inst. Français du Pétrole. Newman earned a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA degree from Harvard U.
Edward Gilliard, SPE, was named Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of BPZ Energy. He has worked for Amoco Production, Houston Industries, and Burlington Resources in international finance, strategic planning, business development, and government affairs. Gilliard earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M U. and an MBA degree from the U. of Houston.
George Nilsen, SPE, was appointed COO for Madagascar Oil. His 28 years of experience includes senior positions with Nuevo Energy, Santa Fe Energy, and Petro-Lewis Corp. Nilsen earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell U.

Watt, SPE, was named Region Manager–Middle East, Russia, and CIS for
Sondex. Before joining Sondex, he held management positions at PathFinder
Energy Services and Halliburton Manufacturing and Services Ltd.
